This matcha is crafted at Yabuzaki-en Tea Farm in Asahina region of Shizuoka, one of Japan’s three major Gyokuro regions. Surrounded by mountains and clear air, the farm benefits from a natural environment that supports healthy tea plants and clean, expressive flavors.

For this matcha, young tea leaves are shaded before harvest to enhance umami and natural sweetness. After harvesting, the leaves are slowly stone-milled into a fine powder. The Premium Matcha offers gentle sweetness and soft umami, with very low bitterness. A fresh green aroma and clean finish create a smooth taste perfect as a usucha(classic matcha).
